The upgrade to the 48v 20ah Currie eZip begins

I ordered the additional motor Friday from Currie and the controller today from e-crazyguy on ebay. I've asked Ping (pingping227 on ebay) if he can split the battery into two parts that will fit inside a Currie battery box. I think I'll order the snowblower filters for the cooling mod as well.
I have to have someone cut a plate for the motors or weld on one an attachment, get chain and then wiring instructions and I'm all set for a weekend project (hopefully)!

I've seen a dual motor plate on the Superkids site, I think. It doesn't seem to be there now. I wonder if an email or phone call would save ya some headaches? There's an Aussie who posts on endless-sphere.com forums who built a dual motor Currie rig. He posts there as "Kurt".

Thanks! Kurt's design and input was the reason for the decision to add the motor. A friend cut a new plate and put the new motor on - I'm picking it up tonight. I have the controller and cycle analyst ready and the battery has been shipped - I'll have to fit them into the Currie cases (or put them in a bag) and wire it all up and I'm in business. They won't fit exactly into the cases so I'll have to figure out a way to make that work.
