My purchase, Bicycle Handlebar Bike Ultra Loud Alarm Bell Ring arrived.
The installation is complete. The sounds are powerful.
On the bike path, it is very useful ...(to be heard by walkers and strollers )
I'll have a little video very soon.

It looks good. I'm looking forward to the video. I went with an Airzounds because I didn't want to deal with more batteries, however, they're priced a little high for what they are. (What did your horn cost?) I can tap lightly on the Airzounds and it produces a fairly painless toot for pedestrians. For cars, I can push it and get a nice loud blast. I haven't had to use my Airzounds since I installed it, but it's nice to have (just-in-case).

If you add anything more to that bike, you're going to have to start pulling a trailer!
Tu a beaucoup d'accessoires! Plus d'accessoires que velo. :)

Mountainbiker ..
This horn, gives all its sounds, one after another, and I like that.
It begins with a sound not too annoying, and subsequently, the sounds are more annoying and shrill, but I like the kit.
The video will show you his work.

leetaylor.
These are all essential accessories.
The latest addition (horn), certainly turns heads.
My signal lights, are very useful, and my alarm did not work (no thieves in sight) :-)

Texx,
I don't think you have too many accessories. In addition to ordering two Innova studded winter tires that have over 200 studs per tire, this month I'm going to order a set of N-Vision/Flexpro bike wheel lights for my front wheel (my rear wheel is obscured by my panniers). Flex Pro » Bike Wheel Lights for Riding Safety at Night
This will provide a bit more visibility, especially for cross traffic, as the days shorten with the approach of winter. The set has 3 lights, which run on 9V batteries, not button cells. I also want to order the large Minoura Swing grip to increase available bar space.

Here is the link to the .. Bicycle Bike Handlebar Ultra-loud Bell Ring Alarm ..
US $5.94 ..
Bicycle Bike Handlebar Ultra-loud Bell Ring Alarm NEW - eBay (item 290443715894 end time Aug-08-10 18:53:57 PDT)

Mountainbiker .
There is already a very long time (1959/1962), I already install nuts and bolts +, several, washers, on tires, and I was driving on snow and ice.
PS .. On this photo..
You should cut the excess .
But today, I would like you, I would buy the Innova studded winter tires.
I do not ride a bike this winter, I fear the cold (because of my two, heart attack).
Those who can, are very lucky.
These wheel lights, N-Vision/Flexpro are ((HOT)).
They would be well on my SCHWINN. I'll think about it ..
Give us photos of your additions, it is very interesting.

Texx,
They look bright. Do you have 4 headlights on your handlebars? You can never have too many lights. Even with lights, some motorists seem to tune out cyclists. This video link was posted on the Endless Sphere forum recently; it's a video from a street camera that shows a cyclist who was riding an e-bike at night getting hit in an intersection. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=9fb_1279449431
It's hard to tell from the camera angle whether the cyclist had lights or not. Unfortunately, the cyclist died. The driver has now been arrested (he didn't even stop).
I ride in winter, but not as much as during warm weather. I won't ride if the streets haven't been adequately cleared or if it's too icy. We've supposedly entered an El Niño period so this winter may be colder and wetter (snowier). If that's the case, I may not get a lot of riding in. I love my e-bike but I'm not going to ride it when conditions are too dangerous.

Mountainbiker.
I think that your link-video is not good. This is a picture of a bike .. e-Tikit ..
I have two main lights, which are used when the darkness came,
and 2 small lights, which are used before the great darkness, they blink or it remains fixed.
PS..
I change the location of my little lights, and also the horn.
################################################
A friend of mine uses his e-bike all winter.
It installs large tires mountains (without spikes) and he said, he has no problem.
It is true that the city, the streets are mostly clear.
But his bike is still very very dirty. Calcium is a lot of dirt ..
He cleans his bike in a car wash. ... with a jet, soapy water.
#################################################
I have a little video of my Bike Bicycle Handlebar Ultra-Loud Alarm Bell Ring.
I did several tests on the bike path, this after-noon, and I can tell you that people hear this horn very well.
This horn is essential, his sounds are shrill,...
but not enough to be cast out of the cycle track, by big arm.
I also installed a union (dean plug) between the horn and the start button. It will easily extractable.
(( My camera is of poor quality and the sound is not clean. There is a background noise .. ))
...but this gives you some idea of the 6 sound of that horn.
Adjust your volume loud enough, and you'll have an idea of the sound of this horn.

Texx,
Thanks for pointing out the wrong link; I've corrected it. The new horn is loud. Does the control for your turn signals also have a horn? If so, and if it's not as loud, it might be the perfect horn for warning pedestrians.
I made my own studded tires last year but thought I'd go with the Innova 26" x 2.1" studded tires since they have 268 replaceable steel studs, which should provide a lot more traction than the screws I put in my homemade tires. I'm just hoping we have a mild winter and don't get tons of snow. I hate having to go up on the roof to shovel off snow.

((( Your video makes us think deeply .. we must make very careful in the city.)))
Yes, the horn of my turn signals, may be useful to warn pedestrians,
but more often I'll use my black horn for pedestrians and cyclists..
Good road with the Innova 26 "x 2.1" studded tires.
They certainly take you back home .... this winter. .

The video does make you think. Life is risk and you can't do anything to completely eliminate risk in your life. However, when riding a bike, we're more vulnerable since we may be in the street mingling with traffic. People may poo-poo my mods and think they're dorky, but I feel better with turn signals, a loud horn and good lights. That said, defensive riding (just like driving) is extremely important. I obey stop signs and signal lights. I always presume that a driver isn't paying attention and I'll slow down when a car is turning left in front of me or when I'm approaching an intersection and have the right-of-way. I'd rather go a bit slower and stop occasionally, if that means I'll make my destination alive.

Mountainbiker ..
I fully agree with you.
Our life is precious and we must protect it.
The lights, turn signals and a good horn, are very important.
The mechanical and tires must be checked from time to time.
Thank you (( Mountainbiker)) for your very good comments.
----------------------------------------------------------
Today, my wife and I have traveled 35 miles.
I ride 32 klm (19 miles) with my battery renovated, 06/03/2008 .. 24 VOLT/14 AH ...
My second battery (renovated, past week) has completed the journey without difficulties.
My weight is currently 169 pounds.
The wind was minimal, and we climbed 3 or 4 good hills.
The assistance is still low (So I do not get tired).
Speed = 11 / 13 mph .
I am satisfied with the performance of this SCHWINN.
The Wilderness of my wife ....

Hey TEXX how do you like the Wilderness system compared to your Schwinn?
Speed?
Range?
Dependable?
Noise?
Is it worth the extra money?
Thanks,
Jim

Hello .. eldrijt
The Wilderness of my wife, is the BD model (with brushes) 36 volts.
His bike is a 700c. MIELE-Cromo-lite metal ..
Its battery is lightweight. These are small battery 12V 7.5 Ah .. ..
When I ride at 28 klm/h (unassisted on my SCHWINN), the Wilderness beyond me easily.
He can go to 30/35 klm/h, unattended, on flat ground and no wind.
It is true that the weight of my wife is 113 pounds, and its battery is light (if we compare them to mine).
The Wilderness has ((never)) lacked the power, in all our trips by bicycle.
What makes me say that these three small battery, are miraculous.
She uses it only when necessary, in the wind and the climbs ...
His bike has 21 speeds.
I often ask her if her WILDERNESS, really helps, and every time she answers ((YES .. I love it)).
Lately, we have run 56 klm (35 miles) and the Wilderness, has not lacked power.
I am really surprised with the performance of this kit WILDERNESS.
He is strong, and it can start directly with electricity,
His charger, is a Cansai-CANADA - OUTPUT -36 v- 3 AMP CONSTANT .
The charging time is very short ..
She has never felt a drop in power in all its hikes.
The engine is extremely quiet, no noise .. (This is very nice)
I would like to find a similar kit to install on a 26 inch.
But first, I used my SCHWINN, with all its spare parts :-).
To sum up, if I did not have my SCHWINN with all its spare parts, I would opt for a kit WILDERNESS, with or without brushes.
You install the kit Wilderness, on the bike you want, and the fun begins.
Check prices on ebay, they are very reasonable.
http://cgi.ebay.com/Wilderness-Elect...ts_Accessories
http://cgi.ebay.com/Wilderness-Energ...efaultDomain_0
I paid $ 400.00 for the bike and the kit already installed. A real bargain.
Here in QUEBEC, QUEBEC CITY, transport is expensive for the kit that comes from the U.S. ..
I watched my wife (on her bike) and it uses the engine, whenever necessary.
I believe that good driving his bike, and use the engine, when necessary, allow to run several klm.
On a very heavy bike, like mine, the engine is very often solicits (the battery does not keep their charge very long time), but on a light bike, motor will help only when necessary. And the 21 speeds, certainly helps.
These motor / wheel, possess less torque than our CURRIE, but for the road, they are really good.
Big motor ..
Small controllor..
Small battery ..
Cool trottle ..
Small battery ..
And she is happy.

Thanks TEXX! The wife DOES look happy.
I have a friend considering an electric bike. I'll show him the Wilderness as an upgrade.

Hello ..
I have no big change at this point, but this new bag, made a small difference.
It is very useful when I want to enter the store, I can put all my small items, and go with everything.
I keep my little box for a picnic.

Hello ..
I buy a GIANT-SUEDE-DX-YEAR 2005.. 21 speed + BIONX/P250/24VOLTS...
The acceleration is much less than the SCHWINN, but it gives me satisfaction.
The condition of this bike is amazing.
Very clean, and the kit BIONX works wonderfully.
He owns a small arm for the direct acceleration.
Good bike rides for all.....

Hello everyone ..
I leave my SCHWINN I-ZIP 24 volts (SLA) for a BIONX 24 volts, but the adventure was not very good for me. :-(
The engine of BionX, stopped running, and the repair would have been too expensive.
So I sold the BIONX at very good price, and I buy another SCHWINN I-ZIP, one of my neighbor.
I paid $ 250.00, and the battery was changed at the beginning of August 2010 , 14 ah instead of 12 ah ..
I am happy to be back again with a bicycle SCHWINN.
I already install fenders black.
A luggage rack and a bag, will be installed.
In spring, a second battery 14 Ah, will install (similar to my old Schwinn)
The performance of this new SCHWINN, will be the same as my old one.
Approximately 30/34 klm, with one battery, and 60/70 klm, with two batteries. (With minimal assistance)
I will keep this new SCHWINN.
Thank you for your attention.
